Biography

Rubenstein coached the only state championships in Mourning High’s history. The first was in the 3A Individual singles. The second in 2015-2016 Tom Jaworski & 3A doubles in 2016 – 2017 Tom Jaworski/Edward Luca). Additionally, he lead teams to five state appearances at Mourning.

In April of 2023, he won his 500th career victory. He now holds a record of 506-149-2.

In 2017, Rubenstein was also named as the Team USA Head Tennis Coach for the 20th World Maccibiah Games in Israel. This is the third largest sporting event in the world.

Rubenstein himself played #1 Singles & Doubles at Barry University from 1988 – 1992. He has also been a special education teacher for over 25 years.
