Boyden posted a successful career at Wakefield and continued that to Cal Poly.
Biography
Susanne Boyden closed-out her high school career with her third straight North Carolina singles tennis championship. Boyden won the state championship after surviving a three and one-half hour marathon in the morning semifinal.
Boyden outlasted Supriya Narisetti of Cary, who did not lose a game in four sets on Friday, by 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, and then took the championship over Winston-Salem R.J. Reynolds’ Peyton Pesavento in straight 6-3 sets. Boyden will be attending Cal Poly in the fall.
Boyden earned Second Team All-Conference honors twice. She was also named Big West All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore. She completed her career notching 50 single match victories and 34 doubles.
