Biography

Malecek closed-out her scholastic career by winning her second straight Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 1 state championship in the fall. She won the race in a time of 17-minutes-52.8-seconds, eight seconds ahead of the second place runner. In 2019, she won the gold medal and set a course record with her winning time of 17-minutes-44.60-seconds.

Last September, Kora and her two sisters, Amalia and Lydia (they are triplets), achieved a big goal when they announced they would all be running in college at the University of Illinois. In 2019, Kora was a finalist at the Nike Cross Nationals. In track, she won the state gold medal in the 3200 meter race in 2019.

Kora is an excellent student, who will study pre-veterinary at Illinois.
