Biography

Mitchell has had an outstanding high school career that is closing-out with her team competing in their fourth straight Arkansas state championship game. Rose Bud won the state title game during her sophomore season.

Mitchell, who has accepted a scholarship to play at the University of Notre Dame, will enter this year’s state championship game with a career batting average above .600, with 57 home runs and nearly 200 runs batted in. She was the MaxPreps Junior Player of the Year after blasting 24 home runs with 71 RBI and a .659 batting average. The switch-hitter also stole 33 bases, drew 36 walks, scored 82 runs and compiled a 1.658 slugging percentage.

Mitchell saw action her first season at Notre Dame. During the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, she was the DH in four of the games and had a .364 batting average and a .909 slugging percentage.
