Impact Statement

“Having an outstanding goalkeeper behind you makes all the other players play so much better and free because they have confidence in their goalkeeper. She inspires her teammates.” -Justin Selander, PDP Head Coach

Biography

Anderson capped off her high school career by winning a CIF North Coast Section Division I championship with six saves in a 2-0 win over San Ramon Valley in the title game. She didn’t allow a goal during the Cougars playoff run. Many consider Anderson to be the top goalkeeper in the world in her age bracket.

She was the starting goalkeeper and captain for the Under-17 United States Women’s National Team and the No. 1 keeper in TopDrawerSoccer’s Class of 2019 recruiting class. At Carondelet, she was a first team all-leaguer performer as a sophomore, junior and senior. She was also a United Soccer Coaches All-American.

Anderson made an immediate impact at Berkeley. She started in all 21 games as a true freshman. She was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, as well as the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year. TopDrawerSoccer bestowed her as the National Freshman of the Year. She was also named Second Team All American.
