Biography

Ashcraft has had an outstanding career that dates back to her playing days at her La Cueva where she was part of championship teams. Since taking-over as the school’s head coach in 1996, she’s won 450 matches and nine state titles.

When Ashcraft won her 400th match in 2018, she became just the second woman in the nation to reach that milestone in girls’ soccer, according to the National Federation of High School State Associations. The program itself owns 16 overall state titles, which is tied for the most in the nation in the sport.

Ashcraft is a member of the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame.

Ashcraft is the first New Mexico coach to be named the NHSCA National Girls’ Soccer Coach of the Year.
