Biography

Fowler burst onto the tradition-rich Southern California golf scene in 2004 when he shot 62 to become the first freshman to win the state’s Southern Region title since Tiger Woods. He won the Southern Region for the second time as a sophomore, adding a sixth-place state finish.

He then won the state title as a junior after finishing third in the Southern Region and was named High School Golfer of the Year by the Los Angeles Times. He was the Southern Region runnerup this spring. Last year he advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur Championships. A two-time Rolex Junior All-American, Fowler is ranked No. 2 in the Junior Golf national rankings. He will attend Oklahoma State University.

Fowler attended Oklahoma State but turned professional in 2009. He was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2010.

His has had success in the PGA with a handful of second place finishes. Most recently, Fowler finished second at the 2018 Masters with a total of -14, one stroke behind the winner.
