Biography
Nathan Lopez leaves behind a legacy at St. John’s Prep and all of New England.
Lopez ran the two-mile race at the MIAA Meet of Champions with a stellar time of 8:59:29, which broke a 48 year old meet record.
Three weeks later, Lopez edged his own record by shaving off almost 15 seconds. His new record of 8:44:54 to take second at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor. This time is a state record and a New England record. This time ranks him as 7th best among his peers in 2023.
Lopez will continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Michigan.
