Biography

Burke moves-on to the University of Michigan having led Skutt to its eighth straight Nebraska volleyball state championship. She had 18 kills in the Class B state championship match against Elkhorn North. For the year, she recorded 505 kills, 66 aces, 36, blocks and 430 digs.

In 2022, Burke was named to the Omaha World-Herald Super Six, ASICS All-Tournament team, state volleyball All-Tournament team, AVCA Best and Brightest first team, and most recently was named to the AVCA High School All-America third team.

Leisa Rosen, Michigan’s head volleyball coach had this to say about Burke signing her scholarship with Michigan, “Morgan Burke is a very physical athlete from Omaha. She is a multi-dimensional player — in that she hit for her high school team that has won eight state titles in a row and she sets for her club team. She was just recently named an AVCA third-team high school All-American and is the first player from the state of Nebraska we have ever had in our program — and that is exciting.”

Since being honored, Burke started 13 games and played in 23 games her freshman season. She led the team with 488 assists and 7.51 assists per set.
