Whyte continues to make an impact whether in Virginia, California or on the national scene.
Biography
Madison Whyte led Heritage to a state championship title as she swept the 100m, 200m, and the 400m titles at the Class 4 State Championships in 2023.
Whyte is the only girl in the state that ranks in the top two in her three events (100m, 200m, 400m). She also holds two state records. She ran the 200m in 22.81 and the 300m in 52.49.
On the national scene, she also took second in the 200m race at the 2023 New Balance Nationals.
Whyte will move cross country to continue her career at the University of Southern California.
While competing during her freshman season, Whyte was named the Pac-12 Women’s Track & Field Freshman of the Year. She was an NCAA Indoor All American in the 4x400m relay. In the NCAA’s, she was ranked second freshman in the 200m and fourth ranked freshman in the 400m throughout the season.
Whyte also qualified for the Olympic Trials and was a semifinalist in both the 200 and 400 meter races.
