Crocco finished her legendary career after 40 years with over 1,100 wins and 18 State Championships.

Biography

In 38 years as a head coach Crocco built Cardinal Gibbons into a Florida volleyball powerhouse. She has led Cardinal Gibbons to 17 state titles, and her teams sported state title streaks of four, six and five straight. This year’s team was 28-2 and advanced to the Class 4A state quarterfinals, giving her a career record of 1,074-119- a winning percentage of more than 90 per cent. More than 100 of her players have earned college scholarships.

Also the school’s athletic director, Crocco has been named Coach of the Year by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) 18 times. She was inducted into the Florida High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1998, and in 2005 became the first woman to be inducted into the FACA Hall of Fame. The National High School Athletic Coaches Association named her its National Coach of the Year in 1988.

After 40 years in coaching,  Crocco retired from the sport she loved after the 2009 season. She boasts a fantastic accomplishment of 18 state team titles.
