McDermott tallied five state tiles while at Bel Air. He looks to continue his success at Princeton.
Biography
McDermott won three gold medals this spring in Maryland’s 3A state championships. He won the 800 and 1,600 meter races. His 800-meter time of one-minute 59-point-90 seconds set a Maryland state record. McDermott also anchored the gold medal winning 4X800 meter relay team.
McDermott, who earned a 3.87 GPA in the classroom, will continue his running career at Princeton University.
McDermott competed in a handful of events his freshman year for the Tigers.
