Biography

This past season, Weitz led her team to its fifth straight Nevada Class 4A state championship, a first in  state girls’ basketball history. Centennial, which is currently ranked No. 4 in the USA TODAY Super 25 national rankings, will try to capture a “mythical” national championship in New York City later this week when it participates in the GEICO High School Nationals.

The 2018-19 season is the 25th for Weitz as a head coach. Her overall record currently stands at 673-81 with eleven overall state championships. In 2016, she was named National Coach of the Year by USA TODAY and MaxPreps.
