Biography
This past season Seaholm’s cross country Head Coach Jeff Devantier led the Lady Maples to a first-ever MHSAA Division I State Team Championship.
Featuring three top 10 nationally ranked teams, including then US#1 Grosse Pointe South HS, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and US#5 Saline HS, Saline, MI; the Division I team championship was the most competitive state championship in the nation.
While claiming the state team championship Seaholm HS also claimed a share of the National Team Championship and finished the 2012 cross country season ranked US#1.
After being honored, Devantier led Seaholm to another two state titles in 2014 and 2015. Devantier stepped away from coaching shortly after winning the school’s third championship.
