Biography
Earlier this month, Taylor and her team won the school’s third straight Utah state championship. Grantsville got its Class 3A three-peat by sweeping Manti in two straight games in the championship round. Since taking over as the school’s head softball coach, Taylor’s teams have won over 70-percent of their games.
Many of her student-athletes have gone on to play college softball, basketball and volleyball. “I am so appreciative of this honor,” said Taylor after being informed of being named the NHSCA National Softball Coach of the Year. “Without my family, coaching staff, my assistant coach Barry Pitt and our hard working athletes, none of it would even be possible.”
