Mathews dominated the greens in North Carolina and will continue to do so for the VT Hokies.
Biography
Emily Mathews was a four year letter winner and team captain. She was a 3x Regional champion and a 3A Individual State Champion in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
She shot 6 under -66 at the 2022 State Championships, which was the second-lowest round in state championship history. She was named First Team All-State all four years. She was also the Conference Player of the Year in 2019, 2020 and 2022.
She also won the Carolinas Golf Association Championship.
Mathews will continue her career at Virginia Tech.
