Diego Henao is an extremely accomplished swimmer found his way back to his alma mater to continue their legacy.

Biography

Since taking-over for 2006-07 NHSCA National Boys’ Swimming Coach of the year John Turner,
Coach Henao has led the school to three straight Oklahoma 6A state swimming championships. Henao, who also coaches the girls’ program at Jenks, had eight top five finishes at this year’s state championships. The Trojans also won gold in two relays.

Jenks’ girls’ swim team also won the state 6A crown for the second straight year. Henao was a part of Turner’s state championship team at Jenks High in 1991.

Additionally, Henao as a swimmer set and broke records in different divisions, teams and countries. He represented Venezuela in two events at the 1996 Olympic Game in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a Bronze medalist at the 1995 Pan-Am Games.
