Barkdull is the number one pole vaulter in the country.

Biography

Bryce Barkdull is an elite level pole vaulter to put it mildly. Barkdull has a jump span of 17 feet 9 inches, which sets him apart from all his peers as the national record holder. The record of 17′ 9″ doubles the past record in the state of Kansas.

Barkdull holds two 5A State Gold Medals in the pole vault from his junior and senior year. This year, he set a state championship record with a 17′ 2″ vault.

Barkdull will continue his athletic and academic career at the University of Kansas.

After graduating, Barkdull qualified and will represent Team USA U20 this summer. He cleared 17 feet 8 and 1/2 inches in June in Oregon.
