Brown leads by example on and off the field with over 830 career victories
Biography
After winning a Texas 5A championship as a junior, Brown, a pitcher/first baseman, has her school in-line for a second straight state championship. Lake Creek has advanced to the state semifinals and the program is currently 42-1, ranked No. 1 in the nation by MaxPreps.com.
Brown’s strong right arm is the reason that Lake Creek was able to put together a state record 82-game win streak that came to an end earlier this month. After going 30-0 as a junior, Brown is 25-0 this season with an ERA of 0.58. Offensively, she’s hitting .477 with nine home runs and 62 RBI’s.
Brown, who was Gatorade’s Texas Player of the Year as a junior and senior, has accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida.
Brown is the fourth Texas athlete to win the NHSCA National Senior Softball Athlete of the Year Award.
