    Biography

    Jon Dollahite became just the third Utah tennis player to win four straight singles titles.

    Dollahite only lost three matches during his high school career. He is ranked #133 in the nation by tennisrecruiting.net. Dollahite will be continuing his tennis career and his academics at the Naval Academy in the fall.

    Storr was a perfect 58-0 during his senior season and ended his career with a record of 227-3.

    Biography

    Kanen Storr is a three time state champion from Michigan. He captured the 2016 NHSCA Senior National’s 138 pound title. He was also named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler.

    Storr was a perfect 58-0 this past season and ended his career with a record of 227-3. He was the runner up at the 2015 Cadet World team trials. He also was a silver medalist at the 2015 Pan Am Games.

    Storr began his collegiate career at Iowa State, where he went 40-12. Storr transferred to the University of Michigan after his sophomore year. He qualified for the NCAA tournament his junior and senior year.

    Biography

    Khalia Lanier was an outside hitter for Xavier College Prep who recorded 496 kills, 324 digs and 28 service aces while posting a Kill % of .438.

    Lanier led Xavier Prep to the Division I state final this past season. She was a 2015 Under Armour First Team All-American and the nation’s No. 1 recruit as rated by PrepVolleyball.com.

    Lanier will also attend USC in the fall.

    Lanier continued to excel while at USC. She was named to the Pac-12 All Freshman Team. She was a named AVCA All-America honoree as a freshman and junior. In 2017, she was named AVCA first-team All-American her sophomore year. Over her career, she logged 2025 kills, 1039 digs and 136 service aces.

    Cassondra Hall capped a decorated high school career with two first-place GHSA Class AAAAA individual titles.

    Biography

    Cassondra Hall capped a decorated high school career with first-place GHSA Class AAAAA individual titles in the 100 and 200 meters. She was also part of the Demons’ 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams, which finished second in the state meet, carrying Warner Robins to a state runner-up finish.

    Hall will leave high school and head to run for LSU as a three-time 200-meter and four-time 100-meter state champion, and for the third year in a row, she is the Macon Telegraph’s All-Middle Georgia Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

    While at LSU, Hall earned All American status three times during her three years as a Tiger. Hall transferred to UNLV to complete her final year of eligibility.

    Biography

    While Norman Grimes scholastic career came to an end before trying to defend his UIL Class 5A 300 meter hurdles title, he still is the #1 hurdler in America. Grimes’ suffered a hamstring injury and had to drop-out of the UIL regionals thus preventing him from qualifying for the state championships.

    At the 2015 World Youth Championships in Columbia, Grimes won the gold medal in the 400m hurdles. Grimes will be continuing on to Texas Tech in the fall.

    Grimes went on to be a three time NCAA Qualifier. In 2019, Grimes became a USTFCCCA First Team All American. His performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships clinched the team title for Texas Tech by running a 48.71 PR for a school record. The sub 49 is the fifth best time in the world.

    Boyden posted a successful career at Wakefield and continued that to Cal Poly.

    Biography

    Susanne Boyden closed-out her high school career with her third straight North Carolina singles tennis championship. Boyden won the state championship after surviving a three and one-half hour marathon in the morning semifinal.

    Boyden outlasted Supriya Narisetti of Cary, who did not lose a game in four sets on Friday, by 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, and then took the championship over Winston-Salem R.J. Reynolds’ Peyton Pesavento in straight 6-3 sets. Boyden will be attending Cal Poly in the fall.

    Boyden earned Second Team All-Conference honors twice. She was also named Big West All-Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore. She completed her career notching 50 single match victories and 34 doubles.

    Biography

    Beata Nelson closed-out her scholastic career with four gold medals at the Wisconsin state championships in 2015.

    A 12-time Wisconsin high school state champion, the future Badger holds three Wisconsin high school state records in the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard freestyle relay. Nelson’s time of 51.62 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly at this year’s Wisconsin high school state meet also reset her previous USA public high school national record.

    A five-event Olympic trials qualifier, she also owns the National Age Group record in the 100-yard butterfly at 51.08 seconds. Nelson is a member of the USA Junior National Team.

    Nelson continued to shine at Wisconsin. She finished her career as a three time NCAA Champion, a seven time NCAA All American and a nine time Big-10 Champion. She is the only female to swim a sub 50 second 100 backstroke six times.

    As a sophomore, she was named to the All-Big Ten first-team and the Big Ten Swimmer of the Championships. She repeated this honors as a junior and was also the Big-10 Swimmer of the Year as well. She was the CSCAA Women’s Swimmer of the Year. As a senior, she was awarded the coveted Big Ten Medal of Honor. The Big Ten Medal of Honor, first awarded in 1915, is given to one student-athlete from the graduating class of each university who had “attained the greatest proficiency in athletics and scholastic work.” according to the Big Ten.

    She excelled out of the pool. She earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors as a Freshman. Nelson earned Academic All-Big Ten honors her final three seasons as a Badger.

    Jensen continued to make a splash as 14x CSCAA All American at Cal Berkeley.

    Biography

    Michael Jensen won two gold medals at the 2016 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state championships. He tallies eight total PIAA state medals over his high school career.

    The University of California Berkeley recruit won the 100 and 200 meter freestyle events. Jensen nearly took down Tom Shields’ 200 free national high school record with a time of 1:33.90.

    While at Cal Berkeley, Jensen continued his success in the pool. As a freshman, he played a pivotal part as the Golden Bears finished in second place at the NCAA Championships. The next year, he competed in three events at the NCAA’s. He was a CSCAA All-American in 200 free relay, 400 free relay & 800 free relay. As a junior, he was a member of the NCAA Championship 200 freestyle relay team, that set a school record (1:14.72). Additionally, he added three CSCAA All America honors in the 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 50 Free. 

    His senior year duplicated years previous. He earned three additional CSCAA All-America  honors in the 100 Free, 200 Free Relay, and the 400 Free Relay. He lead Cal to their third straight Pac-10 team title.

    Biography

    Maddy Barone, a right-handed pitcher led Silver Lake to a 23-1 and a runner-up finish in the South Division 1 sectional tournament. She led Silver Lake to the 2015 Division 1 championship game as a junior.

    Barone was named the 2015 All-Scholastic Division 1 Player of the Year by The Boston Globe and Boston Herald. She was also a three time All-Scholastic honoree by both publications.

    Barone also was a member of the basketball and soccer programs all four years of high school.

    Barone will enroll at Southern New Hampshire University in the fall.

    She earned All-American Honorable Mention after going 20-7 as a junior. Her career was cut short due to the pandemic. Barone graduated with her degree in mathematics and a 3.95 gpa. She was an Academic All-American.

    Biography

    Opal Curless is a midfielder and forward who scored 28 goals and passed for 12 assists this past season. Curless was the Maine Soccer Coaches Association Class B Player of the Year. She’s rated as the No. 68 recruit in the Class of 2016 by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

    Curless scored 80 career goals. She will be continuing her soccer and academic career at Syracuse University.

    Curless played the first two seasons at Syracuse prior to transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University. She started in all the games as an Eagle. Curless also excelled off the soccer field. She became the second in FGCU’s soccer history and fourth overall to be named Academic All-American.

    Biography

    Esteban Calvo led Montverde Academy to a 23-0 record and a No. 1 final ranking in the USA TODAY Super 25 this past season. Calvo scored five goals and passed for eight assists. As a team he was the leader on a defense that allowed just four goals and recorded 19 shutouts.

    Calvo is a member of the Costa Rican Under-20 Men’s National Team. Calvo has signed with the Florida International University in Miami.

    Calvo spent two seasons at FIU, making an appearance in the NCAA tournament as a sophomore. He then transferred to the University of Portland. He earned All-WCC Honorable Mention in 2018.

    Biography

    Allisen Corpuz captured the Hawaii state championship this past season. Corpuz finished second as a junior and third as a freshman. She’s ranked #19 in the AJGA Polo Junior Rankings. She is a three time AJGA All-American.

    Outside of high school competition, Corpuz, qualified for the LPGA’s Lotte Championship earlier this year; she has played in six USCA Championships and was the youngest ever to compete in a USGA Event as she was 10 years and 3 months at the 2008 Women’s Amateur Public Links. She also represented Hawaii at the 2014 Asia Pacific Junior Cup. She will be attending USC in the fall.

    While at USC, Corpuz achieved WGCA All-America honors as a sophomore after an impressive freshman season. She earned All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention both season. As a junior, she helped the Trojans to two titles – Pac 12 and Regional titles through the NCAA. She again earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention honor. She again earned WGCA All-American first team honors as a senior. She added 2020 WGCA All-American Scholar to her accolades. She is ranked within the top 30 armature golfers as of 2021.

    Biography

    Cooper Dossey won the Texas Class 5A championship this past season. Dossey won the championship by eight shots with rounds of 66 and 69.

    As a junior, Dossey finished in second place, one shot off the lead. Dossey led his school to three straight Texas 5A team championships. Dossey will continue his golf career at Baylor in the fall.

    In his first year, Dossey helped lead the Bears to their first NCAA Regional title and their first NCAA berth. He helped the Bears back to the Championships the following seasons. His junior years, they also made a run for the fourth consecutive season, which set a school record.

    Dossey is the first in program’s history to earn First-Team All-America honors following his senior year. Additionally, he became the third to compete in the coveted Palmer Cup.

    Of the greens, Dossey also shined. He was selected to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll seven times over his career. He also was an Academic All-12 honoree four times.

    Biography

    Sean McGrew finished his career with 5,762 yards with a 9.1 yards per carry average, plus he helped St. John Bosco to a record-setting 21-game league win streak with three consecutive Trinity League titles.

    The Trinity League is considered one of the best high school football leagues in America. He never lost a league game over the course of his high school career. He was named the Trinity League Offensive MVP as a junior.

    McGrew will play at the University of Washington in the fall.

    Despite his senior year being cut short due to Covid, McGrew led the team in rushing yards again Oregon in the season opener. He was the team’s Academic Achievement Award winner. He was also honored with the Tyee Sports Council Community Service Award. He announced in December of 2020 that he will return for a sixth year as a Huskie.

    Haley Schleicher

    Biography

    This past season, Haley Schleicher was Virginia’s All-Group 6A Player of the Year after leading her school to its second straight state title during her time in the program. The future Duke Blue Devil senior finished the 2015 season with 61 goals and 50 assists.

    Schleicher is the only high school field hockey player in America to ever to score more than 50 goals and dish out 50 assists in the same season. She also achieved the feat for during her junior year with 52 goals and as many assists. Schleicher also had 201 assists also marked a National High School Federal record.

    Schleicher was All-Group 6A state Player of the Year. She was also named the Coastal Conference Player of the Year and South Region Player of the Year after leading First Colonial to the state crown her senior year.

    She was a member of the U17 and U19 National Team and is the only high school player in history to finish her career with 200 goals.

    Katie Rainsberger won the Nike Cross Nationals championship this past season with a winning time of 16:56.8.

    Rainsberger, who was unbeaten against all distance competition in 2015, won the Class 4A individual state championship with a course-record time of 17:39, leading her team to the state team title. She also placed seconds in 2012 and 2013.

    Rainsberger will be running for the University of Oregon Ducks next fall.

    Biography

    This past season, Drew Hunter capped a perfect cross country season by winning the Foot Locker National Championships. The University of Oregon-bound Hunter won the national championship by setting a new course record in 14:55.70. He was named All-Met Athlete of the Year by the Washington Post and was also named as the Gatorade Runner of the Year.

    During the indoor track season, Hunter set and then reset the United States Record for the fastest indoor mile. He’s only the second high schooler to break the four-minute mile indoors.

    While Hunter did commit to Oregon, he took a different path. He turned professional and signed with Adidas. In 2017, he competed at the USATF and finished in 11th place. The following year, he finished 6th at the same event.

    Recently, in 2019, Hunter won the 2 Mile race at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 8:25.29.

    Biography

    Crystal Dangerfield of Blackman High School ended her high school career by winning the Tennessee Class AAA Miss Basketball Award. Dangerfield led her school to two state titles during her career. She was the highly coveted Morgan Wooten Player of the Year.

    She averaged 23.9 points a game during the 2015-16 season with 5.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 steals. Dangerfield will play at the University of Connecticut in the fall.

    Dangerfield continued her successful ways at Connecticut. She was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team. She was named to the Third team as a sophomore and Conference First Team her last two seasons. She played in every game as a junior and senior, averaging 13.4 and 14.9 points respectively.

    Dangerfield was selected in the second round of the WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx. She made the WNBA’s All-Rookie Team and was the league’s Rookie of the Year in 2020. She is the first second round draft pick to bestow this honor.

    Biography

    Lonzo Ball led Chino Hills to the #1 ranking in the nation during his season year.

    Chino Hills, led by Ball captured the State Championships by a margin of 20 points over De La Salle. This season the team finished 35-0 with many thanks to the talented Ball brothers whom Lonzo shared the court with. Ball averaged 25.4 points per game, 12.9 assists and 11.5 rebounds per game.

    Ball has won many national awards including the Nasmith National Player of the Year Award and was a participant in the elusive McDonald’s game held in Chicago. He will continue both his basketball career and academics at UCLA in the fall.

    His freshman year, Ball earned First Team All-America honors. He broke the UCLA record for most assists and lead the nation with 274.

    After one season at UCLA, Ball entered the NBA Draft. He was the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017. He was selected to the 2018 All Rookie Second Team. In 2019, Ball was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans, where he currently plays.

    Pint went from Thomas Aquinas to being the fourth overall MLB Draft pick.

    Biography

    Riley Pint led St. Thomas Aquinas to the Kansas 5A state championship with a 7-1 record and a 0.57 ERA. Pint finished the season with 87 strike outs in his 49 innings pitched. His batting average was a solid .576 with 45 RBI’s.

    Pint was selected as the 4th overall draft in the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft by the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies also drafted the 2015 NHSCA Baseball Athlete of the Year in 2015.

    Pint is still a member of the Rockie’s organization. He is currently is honing his skills, which include consistently throwing 97-100 miles per hour.
